A bunch of Barley

N's goddaughter's mother telephoned today saying J who is getting married in August in Durham wants some "dried wheat" in her bouquet! So we decided to pick a bunch of barley which is about to be harvested here in case the wheat doesn't materialise at a later date. Better LARGE.

Weather on the change, no rain yet. Went to tea with my neighbour where we always have a good chinwag and a catch up on her ever expanding family! T left for Sussex this afternoon where he is staying with a college friend on his farm. In the morning he goes to the airport to collect another chum from Western Australia whom he met when T was working over there on their farm near Perth ten years ago. They keep in touch and this is the second time J has been to stay.
