Low Country Boil
Jimmy and I began our Saturday morning rather slowly but the day ramped up quickly. We were expecting our landlord to come in the morning so we cleaned up the place a bit. My friend Jena stopped by in the morning on her way out of Jacksonville. She is moving down to Boca Raton for her new job and this morning was her last goodbye for a little while. We had a lot of fun this year living in the same city, so I was definitely sad to see her go, but I know I'll see her soon.
Eventually the landlord did come and I met him while Jimmy drove to the airport to pick up Trevor. He is back for a few more days before he goes to Missouri for officer training. We are trying to spend as much time as possible together before he ships out again. The guys came and picked me up and we headed down to dad's house for a low country boil. It was deeelicious! Shrimp, potatoes, corn, onions, carrots, sausage, mushrooms and bread on the side, what more could you ask for. It was pretty stormy out so no swimming today, but it was good family time hanging out inside watching the World Cup games and Owen kicking a ball about 10 million times. He is pretty darn good!
