Hanging out

After finishing up in town this afternoon I popped into the Government Gardens to find something for my blip. Saw the usual ponds and reflections then I heard someone singing, he was on the verandah of the Te Runanga Tea House, one of the wonderful old buildings in the gardens.

His voice was beautiful and he was quite happy singing away just sitting in the sun. Went across and had a chat to him, turns out Michael is a local lad and he was waiting for a couple more members of the little band to arrive, they have their practices on the verandah. And I thought what a great idea, people wandering around could stop and enjoy them just like I had.
