Adiós Gibraltar

I had a dentist appointment and other bits and pieces to do in Gib today, so I pottered over the border in the morning sun.

The day got instantly better when I discovered the dentist was ill and my appointment cancelled!

So after a bit of pampering and window shopping I returned to Spain. These passengers were leaving by an alternative route. As mentioned before, one has to cross the runway of Gibraltar airport to get to Spain. If a plane is about to depart or arrive, of course the runway is closed to traffic and pedestrians, and everyone has to wait.

It makes for a dramatic and noisy delay, but always worth watching.
