A local man

This chap was sitting on his verandah in the shade, as we passed by, after visiting some beautiful gardens on the island of St. Lucia in the Carribean. I took this shot without asking him, a bit naughty I know, but I didn't want him to move or look at me! The camera club on the cruise we were on encouraged me to enter this shot into the end of cruise competition....so I did, and to my absolute astonishment, it won best portrait in the intermediate category :-)
