What a day!

So I took the dogs for a walk last week and ended up with a painful calf, hadn't tripped or anything so couldn't explain it. Lots of ice packs and ibuprofen later and it was still aching. Woke up this morning and my foot and leg below the knee were swollen up, went to work and the clinical skills facilitators took one look and sent me to ED., they thought i might have a DVT. I was there most of the day, had blood tests and ultrasound and the end result is inflammation of the muscle and water retention but you have to be thankful for the NHS. The staff in the ED were lovely and very helpful and friendly despite being very busy.
