The life history of a shop
It was such a beautiful evening that I decided to take a wander through Bloomsbury to King's Cross and catch the bus home from there after work.
There were many routes I could have taken but I found myself walking along Leigh Street and came across this recently revealed old shop sign. Not only that, I was treated to the life history of the shop from Karl who used to work there and happened to be standing outside. It had belonged to his family for generations and was last run by his nephew. Previously called Povey's it closed two years ago. The removal of the '70s sign (shown in the picture in the article) revealed this lovely old sign underneath.
