Belugas Flirting

Took a trip to the Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta. I was really struck by these huge beautiful creatures, Beluga Whales. They had three females and one male (lucky guy!). Here the male is actually gently biting a female which is how he signals that he wants to mate with her. The water temperature is apparently set at exactly 52 degrees Fahrenheit to encourage copulation.
