An Elite Vehicle

The Morris "Elite" was released in 1962 and boasted being 96% Australian made. This was manufactured long before the Japanese, Korean and Chinese began to import vehicles into our country.
The fact that they are still performing so well after more than fifty years says a great deal about the quality of workmanship then in Australia.

It's such a shame that our auto industry has bowed to pressure from imports and has finally reached the end of the line, with production to cease next year.
