Into the blue...........
Sunset had just the right mix of cloud and sky tonight and there was some lovely colour. A little surprising after the rain of the last day or two. As I was leaving the beach I used the newly installed stair case up to the car park and, turning around, decided to take one more shot. The sun had sunk low behind me as I faced out to the waves and this was a long exposure of 13 secs on ISO400 and fairly wide aperture to what I normally like to use. So, even though I have some lovely colourful shots earlier in the evening I thought I preferred this blue hour shot as it seemed quite serene.
Date night tonight and we are discovering/ rediscovering our local restaurants. It was a lovely night together after the months of global reorganisation. A definite new favourite restaurant!
Lessons learned.........
-it is inevitable that the rock pools revealed by the very low tide will contain a multitude of shells and treasure on the night "future marine biologist son" needs to stay home to work on homework after school
-teaching eldest son to drive is more than a little stressful for ALL involved
-must remember to clean the filters during shoots even when there is not very obvious salt spray
-remember to try to go with the flow more................
