Landing Gear Down

I look at these honey bees in a different light after watching the programme 'Hive Alive' last night and discovering what amazingly clever creatures they really are. That they are able to 'read' the flower's message that the pollen stores are depleted and move onto the next flower without wasting time and energy landing and taking off without getting a pollen/nectar hit is truly incredible. I started to watch thinking that I knew quite a bit about honey bees, boy was I wrong, there is so much more to them than I realised. So today's offering is a homage to the humble honey bee :-))
