Collecting the Bullrushes

Every three years or so the rushworkers are allowed to thin out the rushes which grow in the river Great Ouse, so I couldn't believe it when I saw them as I crossed the bridge.

JJ has decided not to take up window cleaning as a part-time job, having taken a full two days to clean ours inside and out. They are looking good.
