Fixing my old phone
I dropped my nexus 4 phone last week, fortunately over a year old and I was able to get an upgrade, but I wanted to get it working again to extract a few things, and have it as a backup.
So I ordered a replacement screen and body from California, which only took a couple of days to arrive, and set about fixing it, which basically required transferring all the bits from the old body across into the new.
This photo is from the middle of the process, the back is off the old one, the motherboard, battery, speakers and other bits pulled out and about to be transferred.
At the end of the process it worked! Still now prefer my new Sony Z2, but worth having the old one available.
