Greenhouse

Today's the day ........................... to weather watch

Will got up at the crack of dawn today to get a coat of undercoat on the wooden frames of the greenhouse. He has taken all the panes (or should that be pains) of glass out and is replacing bits of rotten wood as he goes.

Needless to say, I was snuggled up in bed completely unaware of all this activity going on. By the time I got up, it had started to rain - and within a few hours it was seriously lashing down. It was a day to stay in and make jam. So that's what I did.

Tomorrow they're telling us we're going to have a heat wave. Temperatures are going to be higher than they've been all summer - and we've to make sure we wear hats and put on sun screen.

It's hard to keep up with it all .............................
