Edible flower beds!

This is Stirling Council's approach to community food growing - nasturtiums (good in salads), brassicas, peas and a lot more! In what was a typical Cooncil flower bed that in the past would have had regimented annuals that looked pretty but had no use beyond looking good! I was disappointed to see that the hanging baskets that were full of herbs last year were also filled with nasturtiums. Maybe the good folk in Bannockburn weren't particularly familiar with the culinary offer that was in place last year!
