Entertaining ourselves on a rainy day
Sheep continue to amuse us, this time on Wilson's head. We spent time looking at every item in Skye Skins because it was cold and rainy outside and we'd already exhausted Dunvegan Castle and gardens.
Later we did actually take a walk, half way out to the lighthouse on the tip of Waternish, but turned back when the rain started blowing sideways (good days in Skye are when the rain is NOT blowing sideways, the guy at the castle said).
Tonight we ate at the Ferry Inn and had this conversation with the waiter:
"Is everything okay with your meals?" the waiter asked.
"Uh, I'm not very happy with mine," I said with some hesitation. How to even begin describing its failings?
The waiter grimaced and walked away. No one came out to ask why. An air of unreality settled in, and I gave up hope and ate the veggie burger anyway. Later, plates empty, the waiter returned.
"Did you enjoy your meals?" he asked, apparently amnestic.
We laughed.
"Oh dear," the waiter said.
