A lovely overnight stop with Maudie and Beryl.

They put us up as we crossed the country from East Anglia, where we had been House-hunting, to Cornwall where we were to holiday. On the way we had picked up Son #2.

Beryl took us all in, we were late, fed us and gave us a bed. Then, next morning she cooked us breakfast and saw us on our way.

What a bloody good mate.
