Fire in the sky!

We rarely get dramatic sunsets where we are and they certainly don't usually stretch round to Christchurch. I know this because I have run out the door a couple of times this past year, round to the Church only to discover the colour in the sky has stopped short.

I noticed the sunset building tonight and went outside to get a chimney shot so was delighted when I realised the Gothic spikes of Christchurch actually had some red sky behind them and the sky above had wonderful, billowing texture and colour.
