Is this the end of the "Wells"

For the first time since it was discovered by Lord North in 1606 the chalybeate spring that became Tunbridge Wells has run dry. This could be a catastrophe for the town. Summer jobs as "dippers"- the girls who dressed up in 17C clothing and sold iron rich water to tourists are not needed. Despite the extra ordinary levels of water at the beginning of the year how can the source of the town, that has been drunk by visitors for over 400 years, run dry. Can Royal Tunbridge Wells retain its name if there is no Well???
