On Loughrigg Fell

Day two of our active walking week, and as the forecast for tomorrow is rather grim, I rescheduled to go out again today. We walked Loughrigg tarn and Loughrigg fell, and a gorgeous day it was too!

I took the walk from one of the books on walks to tarns, so the route took us past all the tint tarns on the top of the fell, including lily tarn.

Excellent route, great day, and this little tarn with the saxifrage and the dark peaty water was my favourite. Can't wait to do the walk again.
