Meandering River
The Waimakariri river looked cold with the mountains in the background as it meandered towards the Pacific Ocean.
Fairly quiet, no one fishing or fossicking, no children enjoying the last days of the school holidays, just a few birds behind me at the river mouth and this lone gull heading out to sea.
Mum and I didn't linger as we were looking forward to hot tomato and basil soup with garlic bread to warm us up, followed by a shared slice of carrot cake with yoghurt, cuppa tea for me and cappuccino for mum - delish!
If your interested mum's blip is at the river mouth, it's here - Ripples and Waves
Happy Thursday everyone :)
