A Takapuna cafe

This morning's run took me from the hospital to Takapuna Beach, where the low cloud blocked the sunrise from view. I didn't have time to wait on the beach until the sun climbed high enough to be above the clouds and above Rangitoto Island.

On the way back I went past a cafe which had been frequented by many of the walkers on the beach. It is a beautiful beach to walk on when the tide is low, as it was this morning. Despite the chill. I was very glad that I had my runner's gloves, as even with them the tips of my fingers were cold by the end.
