Bell Tower and Abbey Grounds
The Bell Tower and the arh are all that remains of Evesham Abbey,it was a thriving in the 1300 - 1400 In around 720 AD a swineherd saw a vision of the virgin Mary by the river, which is why it was decided to build a Abbey on the site.This Abbey was responsible for other Abbeys in Britain. The grounds run along side the river Avon.The battle of Evesham was fought in the area and Simon DeMontfort is buried nearby.
