Happy accident.
I went for a cycle down to the canal today while the weather is still good. It seems we return to tropical conditions tonight. That means torrential rain and thunderstorms. The birds seem to know that as there was not a duck or swan in sight. There was one solitary moorhen hiding in the reeds, and as I was trying to set a shot up this guy floated down in front of me. I took a shot instinctively and managed to (almost) get it in focus.
Seagulls were the subject of a heated discussion in our Senate today. One colourful Senator described them as 'Scavenging vermin' and 'Dump Gulls' and demanded that something be done about them. One of them must have stolen his lunch.
I wouldn't hold my breath if I was him.
