Flowers on the croft..

Meadow Sweet. The hill is covered in a champagne spray of meadow sweet. Frothy clusters of flowers, which when you look closely, many are still to fully open. I'm not sure about the scent given off by them..

A grey drizzley start to the day, but brightening up around lunch. Been down the croft clearing the old salad patch, hoeing, raking, and resowing fresh seed. That Mibuna seed came today, a day and a bit after placing the order. Harvested some young salad for the restaurant, and lettuce. It's at the right stage for harvesting just now, full of flavour and freshness.

My birthday today, so off down to the hotel for a (probably) crab..
