Hydrangea
We took some cuttings from a deep pink hydrangea a few years back, they rooted and were put into pots but have never flowered until this year. There is only one flower head and it is this very subtle mauve/pink blend with the lilac centre that look like little beads.
It's been in the upper 20's again today but I did manage to cut all of the grass this evening to get ahead of the heavy thunderstorms that are forecast for the weekend. I called at the local feed mill this afternoon and parted company with £59.15 on a sack of peanuts, a sack of sunflower hearts, a box of suet blocks and a small bag of mixed seed - oh, and a new peanut feeder to replace the one that Sammy Squirrel destroyed! Never mind the birds larder is full again for a little while, I'll have to starve though!
