With only a few public buses available we jumped on the first jeepney we saw - the Philippine answer to the truck, bus and four-wheel drive vehicle. All in one!

Riding roof top we got some great views of rolling karst hills blanketed in rainforest and dusty village rice fields. Squashed between strangers and sacks of rice bumping around so precariously for the whole day when we finally arrived in El Nido in northern Palawan we were exhausted ....
