Ramadan Kareem
Today is the first day of Ramadan - the holy month for Muslims everywhere.
Fasting is an important aspect of Ramadan - Muslims will refrain from eating or drinking during daylight hours. Not one to be left out of anything, I rose to the challenge of my Muslim colleagues and have decided to give the fasting a go. So it means getting up around 3:30am for berkkie (Sahoor) and then staying away from the fridge and water cooler until dinner time at around 7:20pm (Iftar). We'll see how long I can last!
