Glasgow Gelato

It was a fine day in Sunny Glasgow today. We took the kids to Kelvingrove Park for a wander in the late afternoon. We tried to get a wee peek at the newly refurbished Bandstand but it's not finished yet.

It was definitely ice cream weather so we popped into University Cafe on Byres Road for a very yummy ice cream. As you can see from the signage - Uni Cafe has been around since 1918. It has a chippy next door, but in the Cafe you can sit in and have most excellent pie, beans and chips - many a hangover has been chased away on those narrow red benches they have in the booths. It is one of those old Italian cafes which have barely changed, so I gave the photo a little vintage treatment.
