Water

Walked over to the nearby shopping centre at lunchtime, and was distracted by this pond on the way. It has a rather nice water lily plant (or plants, I'm not sure how they work) complete with (mating) damsel flies and water-boatmen. One thing I have taken from the bushcraft day is to look closely and appreciate the details - it's easy to be focussed on getting to the top of a hill and miss all the interesting stuff you walk over on the way there (not that there any hills on the way to Wilkinsons). Also I noticed that some kind soul has put in a walkway for ducklings/goslings to use to get out of the pond, which has rather steep sides otherwise.
