New development

As we were having some electrical work done we could not stray too far from home. This is an ancient right of way called Love Lane and leads out onto open fields.

The new housing development replaces an abandoned nursery which had become increasingly overgrown. In order to develop this site the developers had to provide a run off storage scheme, preserve the right of way and undertake to use some of the land as a country park.

I like the variety of properties that have been provided and the way different coloured bricks have been used.

I have never approached it from this path before and enjoyed moving from the shade of the trees into the light. The house on the left just, just beyond the parked car, has planted rows of lavender separated by rows of white chalk chippings. It makes for a very striking display.
