Still at the Seaside

Another backblip following on from yesterday's

We had another lazy start to the day. The Little Misses went to bed a bit earlier last night for Nana and Papa and managed to sleep in a bit later which was good.
We more bacon for breakfast and then Mr K popped into town to get some t-shirts for the Little Misses. They only have strappy summer dresses and I'm worried about them getting sunburnt. Even slathered with factor 50 yesterday Miss E still got a bit burnt on her arms.
While he was gone I had a shower - fairly cold and dribbly but better then nothing!
Then Mrs S, Mr D, Mr M and Molly came to meet us at the campsite and we walked into Southwold.
Because it's quite a way Mr K decided to drive in to avoid a hideous journey back later with tired, reluctant children. Mr M and Miss L decided to take the ride both ways!!
The rest of us had a lovely walk along the beach beside all the beautiful, colourful beach huts and met Mr K, Miss L and Mr M further up the beach by the pier.
Where as luck would have it there is a fish and chip restaurant.
We had a yummy lunch - including my new favourite fishfinger bap, and we learnt a very interesting and funny fact: Nothing tickles quite like a fork in the eye!!
Ha ha, it's making me laugh out loud just thinking about it.
After a trip to the arcade and some monster ice-creams Mr K took the children back to the campsite in he car while Mrs S, Mr D and I had a mooch round town - buying goodies in the Adnams shop, the pie shop and the ice cream shop. So many lovely things!
We had a brief stop at the campsite and then headed round to the harbour for a spot more crab fishing.
The tide was mostly out so it was tough going. It was easy enough to get a crabs onto the net but more or less impossible to pull them up over the rocks and weed.
Mr D proved himself a remarkably competitive crab fisher!!
Mrs S and Mr C arrived earlier in the afternoon to spend a couple of nights by the sea in their campervan.
We washed the Little Misses and then tucked them up in Nana and Papa's campervan watching Tom & Jerry DVDs while we ate lamb steaks and sat outside chatting and watching the sun go down.
I was ready for my bed!
