New PJ's

Finished these PJ's for Betsy. They have a yellow softball on the back with a Letterman-style H in the middle, like the B on the front.

A while ago, on Pinterest, Betsy saw some cool jogging bottoms that she loved. They were just standard grey joggers, but down the side of the leg one pair said, 'iPitch' and the other, 'iCatch'. Betsy plays both Catcher and Pitcher and longed for both pairs, although of course you can never buy that sort of stuff in the UK. But now I have an overlocker they were easy to make! I only needed a metre of marl for each and 12 iron on letters. I already had elastic for the waist. The letters cost more than the fabric. I made her both pairs today and yesterday, altogether they cost less than £20. I'm sure I could have got mark cheaper than £5.25 pm but I hate buying fabric online.

I did think about putting the letters on some cheap joggers from a shop but I didn't see a pair anywhere that didn't have a seam down the outside leg exactly where the writing should be. And anyway, then I wouldn't have had the pleasure of making them!

Today has been so hot. Not the weather for making; a sewing machine, overlocker and the iron generate a lot of heat. But of course nothing makes me happier than making.
