Cloud curtain

First thing this morning the sky was a blanket of cloud and it did not augur well for the day as far as getting out and taking photographs.

While out on the back deck smoking a cigarette with my first coffee of the day, I noticed that the sky was divided in two. To my left was the blanket of cloud, while to my right the sky was clear blue. It was if the cloud was being drawn back like a curtain by the wind.

Needless to say, I rushed into the house and upstairs to my office to grab my camera. I fired off this shot, which sadly doesn't show the effect as good as when I first noticed it. In future, it may well be worthwhile keeping my camera downstairs.
