Every Picture Tells .....

Chasing the sun

It was another hot sunny day today far too hot to work but a delicious seafood pasta meal at lunchtime made a nice change from the usual coffee shop.

The sun was beginning to set as I came out of my evening meeting in Huddersfield. I chased the setting sun for 12 miles high up on the Pennines at Buckstone Edge, and finally caught it at Ringstone Edge (another 6 miles on).

Heres another sunset picture at Ringstone Edge taken in March

Ringstone Edge gets its name from cairn circles which can still be seen. The walls surrounding the reservior are reputed to have taken a considerable amount of material from the site and when the water is low a number of possible hut circles have been noted on the NW side.
