When the weather forecast fails
In our age and time it is still a mystery as to why the weather forecast sometimes fails. After unforeseen gales and rain on Monday, today we were very careful to chose a spot without elevations and with some woods to protect us from the anticipated thunderstorms and rain. It was such a beautiful summer's day! There were beautiful clouds so that I got my wide lens out. This is a shot of a tree on the bonny banks of Loweswater. Maybe I am so attached to the area, because one of my favourite shots of my first week ever to LPH was taken here in the rain with my Fuji compact camera at the time. The print is now in my dining room. Nine years later with high tech equipment and more composition rules on my mind it was nice to revisit the spot. Carpe lucem!
