Cheddleton Flint Mill
The earliest reference to milling at Cheddleton is 1253, there is reference to a corn mill in 1694 at Cheddleotn but by the late 18th century it had been converted into a flint mill. The flint was a important ingredient in the manufacture of pottery. To day it is a museum and sadly the water wheels are not in use.
