when people ask me if i like cooking, i say i dont, because it is such a lot of work in our house, as we cook most of our meals from scratch, and there is never a day when the kitchen is not in use, so the kitchen is never really clean

this morning, as i began cooking today's lunch using just the two elements that are actually working on my kitchen top, i realised that D-day has come: the third element stopped working too ( i had run out of gas), so i had just one element to use, to boil my garden veg: vlita (amaranth greens - greeks do not use amaranth seeds or flour in their cooking, they just use the greens), potatoes, zucchini and eggs

it's not the right timing for us to need to make a purchase of a new kitchen benchtop and elements, but i am really looking forward to doing it - this is my space, and i know my other half will have ideas of his own about how to go about it: he already disagreed with my choice of stovetop elements, and already, i have convinced him that this is in fact how it's gonna be
