Queens Baton

The Queen's Baton visited Bearsden and Milngavie today. The crowds were out, there were more kids than I have ever seen before, and the weather was still good (not the thunderstorms that had been predicted.)

The BBC van invited us to Smile Wave and Cheer, but when the baton was shown to youngsters to admire or touch they were generally pretty overawed. But they obviously enjoyed it and they enjoyed all the other activities which the Queen's Baton visit attracts.

We loved the jazz pianist/singer, playing on a decorated piano which had originally belonged to a local secondary school.
