Porthleven Gig day

This is Portleven's Gig the Energetic.she is named after a fishing boat that sank back in June 1948.they had left Porthleven on a fine summer's evening.then headed in a south westerly direction.after an hour hit a bank of fog.they had heard a steamer in the distance.the Energetic sounded their fog horn.not being under power they were helpless to do anything.it came straight for them.they were 6 brothers ,only one survived .and he was the only one of the brothers who could not swim.
