Ripe Rubies

Our lovely red dessert gooseberries waiting to be picked. I loved the way the seeds inside one were visible in the bright sunlight :-)


They are a lovely flavour, not as sharp as the traditional green ones. Got ripped to shreds picking them though, those thorns are sooo long and strong and sharp as needles :-((( very difficult to avoid as they grow in all directions!


Still waiting for those amazing storms that are 'on their way' ;-/
