Night Rider

Our first Australia Day, hurrah - a day off. I won't publish any nationalistic symbols here, flag waving usually leaves me cold and reminds me of Labour Days in communist Poland. I don't understand why some people put flag poles in their gardens either. It is hard to forget what we are celebrating here (Britain's driving ashore of Australia's first white citizens in chains) and why the other Australian flag isn't waved today.
So I gladly accept a day off, but wouldn't mind if it was moved to a nicer, more suitable and inclusive date.
