Theo's Chillies

These are Theo's ( Andrés dad ) chillies, I found them on a window ledge in the house a year ago last March/ April. He had recently died and we were going through his stuff, sorting things out.

I said to André and his brother Alexi , that I would plant them that early summer ( last early summer ). I liked the idea that Theo's chillies could live on and be shared. I never got around to planting them.

I came across them again 2 days ago, I even got as far as putting the envelope they were in on the garden table. I didn't plant them then either.

Yesterday morning I came outside to find the envelope soaked, it had poured down throughout the night. I thought ' oh shit ' and took them out to see if they had gone mushy. They hadn't. I planted a few seeds in various pots, I may have stuck them in the soil too late, we shall see.

It makes me wonder why I often don't do the small things that I say I'll do. This seems to be a habit of mine.
