Putting the fun in funfair
All was well and good at the Ghost Train until a surprise strike by the Katholic Kommando.
Then it really got surreal...
"You will not corrupt Catholic children. Ireland is a Catholic nation!"
Then the KK lunatic slapped the Scottish guy who runs the Ghost Train, out of nowhere.
And the pointy finger contest continued between the unhinged KK guy and the mate of the guy who runs the Ghost Train.
Then Mrs Raheny stepped forward and started telling the KK guy in no uncertain terms that she is Irish, and she is not a catholic, and that he is a hateful racist and way out of order.
And I stopped taking photographs to provide some backup, just in case.
But the KK guy was more afraid of Mrs Raheny than he was of the Ghost Train, or the Ghost Train guy.
He packed away his hatred and cycled back home with great haste. Presumably to say a few rosaries for the redemption of our souls.
Luca and Mimi and Finn were shocked.
They asked Mum what had happened.
She walked away cooly explaining to them that religion can lead to some strange behaviour by some vulnerable people and that is the reason why they are going to a multi denominational school.
