60 or 70 years ago it would have taken a gang of sixty men with possibly as many horses the best part of a week to harvest this field, or at least the equivalent area – not that they had oil-seed-rape or fields that size then. Today it took two men with one harvester and one tractor with trailer less than two hours . . . and we wonder why we have unemployment . . .
