Friends

Friends. Met my lovely, loud, funny friend and ex colleague for afternoon tea today. She gave me these gerberas.

She had the awful news yesterday that her sister has breast cancer. They are shell shocked, as I was when I first found out that about mine. Worse for them they lost their mother from it when they were young teenagers. Followed by their father with a heart attack a couple of years later. I feel so gutted and helpless for them. It's going to be a very rough ride for them both. I've been the lucky one coming out the other side, I just hope they do too.
