5K in Firefighter Gear

Our annual community celebration, the Rails to Trails Festival is going on this weekend. The 5K run/walk was held this morning and went past our house. These two fellows were doing the race while wearing their firefighter gear. We are only about 1.5 K into the run and they already look pretty hot and tired! That is a workout!
UPDATE: I heard the next day that one of the guys pledged to put on one piece of equipment for every 50 dollars that was donated to a Childrens' Hospital Fund. He raised a lot of money and had to wear the whole thing. His buddy then joined him for moral support.
