Are you....local?

Today I went for a walk to the end of my road where there is this lovely row of shops, a grocers (incorporating post office), ironmongers, fish and chip shop, cafe, wool shop, florists, bakers, chemist, newsagents and hairdressers.
The shops were built in the early 1950's to support the then new urban authority housing estate built to help resolve post war housing needs.
I always love the walk there usually for the post office, and always curse myself for not supporting them more.
On my way back the atmosphere was spring like with the sun shining and I saw the little local bus coming through and the council minibus dropping off a lady with her wheelchair.
It's days like these that proove once again that I am very very lucky to live in such a nice place
