St. Vincent
Oh. My. God.
Maggie won tickets to see St. Vincent on Letterman, so she and I got into the city way early to pick them up. After getting them, we sort of lollygagged around Times Square, but decided it was a waste of our time, and went to stand in line.
Thank god we did because as we were standing there, Maggie noticed that the tickets said that "tickets do not guarantee admission." And lo and behold, we were one of the last few people to get in. And, being the last people to get in, there was not a lot of room in the roped off sections of line for us, so the usher told us to stay outside of this roped off section.
LITTLE DID WE KNOW
the group of people with whom we were standing were people with on-stage seats. And we sat on stage. Literally 20 feet away from Annie Clark. Welp.
She put on an awesome show, and Peg and I had a great time. We waited outside, hoping for autographs, but only got a smile and wave, but came home exhausted and in awe. Ugh. So wonderful.
