Colorado: City Park at Sunset

It was a quiet, peaceful and enjoyable day - such a rarity for me this days.

I took a leisurely stroll through the local park at sunset and captured the subtle colors in reflection on the little lake. Shortly after taking this shot, I noticed a very large great blue heron behind me. By the time I was ready to shot, the bird took flight and all I got was a blue smear across the sky. But now that I know he hangs out here, I will be sure to watch for him. He was perhaps the largest I had ever seen.
